My voice prompts sound strange

Your voice announcements sound funny, are too slow, too fast, too low, too high, or remind you of Mickey Mouse?

Try this:

Go to Android Settings.
Go to "Speech and Input" and find the TTS settings "Text-to-speech."
Download the latest language pack for your preferred language.
You can also adjust the speed and pitch of the announcement in the TTS settings
Restart the app and test the voice prompts again.

For Samsung users:

If the steps mentioned above don't help, you can also try the following:

Go to General management > "Text-to-speech."
In Preferred engine, switch between the two options ("Speech Recognition and Synthesis from Google" to "Samsung text-to-speech engine").
Test whether one of these options fixes the issue.

Try this:

Open calimoto's audio settings: Go to "Profile" > "Settings & Offline Maps" > "Audio."
Select "Audio Output" and try switching between the available options, "Media audio" and "Call audio" to see if this makes a difference.
Go to the "Audio mode" tab and try switching between "Normal" and "Voice notifications".
If steps 1. and 2. don't help, you can still try the "Choose Voice" option on the Audio settings and select a different voice.
Here you can also adjust the volume, speed, and pitch of the voice prompts.
Restart the app and test the voice prompts again.
